第八周 Vrabel 当选最佳防守球员（视频）

爱国者线卫 Mike Vrabel已经当选了GMC周最佳防守球员。 Vrabel 完成13次擒抱，其中11次单人完成，并且有3次擒杀，帮助爱国者以52比7 轻取华盛顿红皮。Vrabel还三次制造对方掉球，对方的第三次掉球被队友Rosevelt Colvin拾得并完成了一次达阵。作为周最佳防守球员，Vrabel 还取得了一次2码的接球达阵，这是他生涯的第10次达阵。他还挽回了红皮队的一次非越位开球（onsides kick）。
其他四名候选人是老鹰的防守端锋Trent Cole,闪电队角卫Antonio Cromartie（取得了2次达阵）, 美洲虎角卫Aaron Glenn以及泰坦的防守端锋Travis LaBoy.

获得提名的周最佳的球员也将在常规赛结束后进入年度最佳的候选人名单。

Trent Cole , DE, Philadelphia Eagles Cole notched eight tackles, constantly pressured the quarterback and had two sacks in the Eagles’ 23–16 win over the Minnesota Vikings. His fourth-quarter sack on third-and-9 forced the Vikings to kick a field goal. Cole now leads the NFC with nine sacks on the season.		Antonio Cromartie , CB, San Diego Chargers Cromartie recorded two interceptions in the Chargers’ 35–10 win over the Houston Texans. His returned a second-quarter interception 70 yards for a TD, and he picked up another touchdown when he recovered a ball in the end zone after the Texans botched a snap on a punt.
Aaron Glenn, CB, Jacksonville Jaguars Glenn had four solo tackles and an interception in the Jaguars’ 24–23 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The veteran cornerback was the first player to intercept a pass from Bucs QB Jeff Garcia this season and he returned it 28 yards for a touchdown.		Travis LaBoy, DE, Tennessee Titans LaBoy recorded three tackles (two solo) and two sacks in the Titans’ 13–9 win over the Oakland Raiders. LaBoy forced and recovered a fumble on the Oakland 9-yard line in the fourth quarter, setting up a field goal that put the Titans up by four.
Mike Vrabel, LB, New England Patriots Vrabel made 13 tackles (11 solo) and had three sacks in the Patriots’ 52–7 win over the Washington Redskins. Vrabel forced fumbles on each of his sacks, the third of which was run back by LB Rosevelt Colvin for a touchdown. Vrabel also fielded a Redskins onside kick in the fourth quarter and caught a TD pass for good measure.
