49ers coach Jim Harbaugh said Monday he's not worried about his future and Greg Roman will remain the offensive coordinator and play-caller despite the team's struggles, which included just 164 total yards during a 19-3 loss to Seattle on Thanksgiving.
After a weekend when reports emerged the coach could be on the trading block after the season, Harbaugh expressed no concern about his future.
“I’m not going to speculate,” Harbaugh said, via CSNBayArea.com. “It’s our job to move on without excuse, without apology and get it right, make it right. That’s our intention. I don’t worry about my future. I don’t participate in any of that speculation. I think I have recessive gene in worrying about my own future.”
As for Roman's future, the 49ers rank 22nd in total offense (325.3 yards per game), 25th in scoring offense (19.2 points per game), 25th in passing offense (210.5 ypg) and 12th in rushing offense (114.8 ypg).
Harbaugh said he was not asked by management to make a change.
"Yes, I have unwavering support for all our coaches and our players," Harbaugh said, per ESPN. "My job is to get it right, and that’s what we’re attacking today, without excuse. Onward to the Raiders."
