赛季过半，Sporting News询问了31支队伍的111名球员进行投票，决出了诸多“最。。。”球员，诸如最不受欢迎的球员（Michael Vick），最脏的球员（大木空苏）等，而除此之外亦投票决出球员最不愿意为之效力的教练。巨人队主教练Tom Coughlin非常荣幸地（亦或是不幸的？= =）以一票的优势荣登榜首。值得一提的是，榜单前三的三位教练都曾做过Bill Parcells的助理教练
熊队防守截锋Anthony Adams评价考夫林爷爷：“Coughlin is that old school, Bill Parcells, my way or the highway type. He won’t bend at all. That’s not the kind of coach you’d like to play for.”
