49人于当地时间周二与球队的全明星线卫Patrick Willis 续约五年，价值5000万，其中保证金2900万，Willis将留队至2016赛季。
在名人堂线卫--现任主帅Mike Singletary的调教下，Willis已经成为联盟的顶级线卫，当然Singletary希望自己得弟子能够青出于蓝。
25岁的Willis在2007年的选秀中首轮第11位被选中，职业生涯三个赛季以来场场首发（48场），并且擒抱总数每一季都为全队最多。人们已经习惯于将他于未来名人堂巨星Ray Lewis做比较，但是Singletary教练认为他们属于不同类型。
