Round 1, Pick 18 (18) Melvin Ingram DE 6'1" 264 South Carolina 90.5
Pick Analysis: Mayock's take: "Not a surprise. This makes perfect sense. I was at his pro day, and everyone in the crowd couldn't believe his workout. He can play standing up, and in San Diego he will be moved everywhere on the field. This is a playmaker."
Round 2, Pick 17 (49) Kendall Reyes DT 6'4" 299 Connecticut 84.0
Pick Analysis: Mayock's take: "This is a good, solid football player. He's not flashy. He's an athletic kid, plays a little bit high. But you know what you're getting from him. He's a solid 3-technique who will play the 5-technique in San Diego."
Round 3, Pick 10 (73) (From Panthers through Bears and Dolphins) Brandon Taylor SS 5'11" 209 LSU 75.0
Pick Analysis: Mayock's take: "I think he's got starting capabilities in the NFL. He's tough, he tackles well, and I just think this is a really solid pick for San Diego."
Round 4, Pick 15 (110) Ladarius Green TE 6'6" 238 Louisiana-Lafayette 67.5
Pick Analysis: Bucky Brooks' take: Green is a matchup nightmare with his combination of size, speed and athleticism. He is a sneaky vertical threat capable of developing into a role player behind Antonio Gates.
Round 5, Pick 14 (149) Johnnie Troutman G 6'4" 325 Penn St. 54.5
Pick Analysis: Bucky Brooks' take: The Chargers add depth along the interior with the selection of Troutman. He is a big, physical plugger with the ability to move defenders off the ball.
Round 7, Pick 19 (226) David Molk C 6'0" 298 Michigan 59.2
Pick Analysis: Bucky Brooks' take: Molk is an experienced pivot with toughness. He will compete for time as a backup and could emerge as a possible successor to Nick Hardwick.
Round 7, Pick 43 (250) (Compensatory selection) Edwin Baker RB 5'8" 204 Michigan St. 61.0
Pick Analysis: Bucky Brooks' take: The Chargers pick up a productive, hard-nosed runner in Baker. He will compete for playing time behind Ryan Mathews or carve out a niche as a change-of-pace runner.
